Honda CB750 Sandcast 1969 #742 "Candy Blue-Green" Running and Unboxing
Переглядів 18 тис.9 років тому
At the end of 2013 we got our hands on a Candy Ruby Red Sandcast Honda CB750 from Vic at worldmotorcycles.com. He's one damn good craftsman so we decided to try to get our hands on another Sandcast from him: a Candy Blue-Green one. This one has an even lower frame number than the first one with the accompanying differences: number 742 (things they quickly changed to make it run better and safer...

Переглядів 2,8 тис.9 років тому
Those of you who've looked at our website knows that we got a sandcast CB750 restored by Vic World at www.worldmotorcycles.com a while back. We were very pleased with it and asked him to restore another one for us and get one with as low number as possible! He just sent us this video of the Sandcast CB750, frame and engine number 742 ever made, up and running for the first time. There's still s...
Unrestored Yamaha AS2J 1971
Переглядів 4,6 тис.10 років тому
We bought this motorcycle in France a short while ago, when it arrived it turned out to be in better condition than we expected. Just to try it out we decided to give it a test ride before deciding what to do with it. We're lucky we did: it runs very well. We've even decided to keep it unrestored in this condition. www.yamaparts.com
Yamaha AS2J Disassembly: Time-lapse
Переглядів 1,8 тис.11 років тому
We've been tearing down and rebuilding a lot of Yamahas, so we've gotten quite quick at it. We figured we might as well do a time lapse showing the entire process from start to finish. Hope you like it! www.yamaparts.com
1969 Honda CB750 Sandcast "pre-K1"
Переглядів 33 тис.11 років тому
A year ago we contacted Vic at worldmotorcycles.com about restoring a sandcast Honda CB750 for us. It arrived in it's shipping crate a few weeks back and had to clear customs. This is our first "unboxing". Vic's done a great job with it! The very earliest CB750's that were produced were this sandcast version: the crankcase was created using a sand mold. After engine number E1007415 the engines ...
1968 Yamaha YL1: Start and Test Drive
Переглядів 84 тис.11 років тому
A while back we received a 1968 Yamaha YL1 from the US, this is our start and test drive of it. It has only been driven slightly over 550 miles and is unrestored from the factory. It took a few kicks to get it started but once it was running, it ran well. www.yamaparts.com
1968 Yamaha AS1C: Details and Engine
Переглядів 8 тис.11 років тому
About two weeks ago we uploaded a video of our newly restored AS1C, where we took it for a test drive. We're back with the same bike again but this time we're focusing on the details and the engine. We've put a lot of effort into restoring this one, hope you like it! www.yamaparts.com
1968 Yamaha AS1C Start and Test drive
Переглядів 8 тис.11 років тому
This is our latest Yamaha restoration. It's an AS1C from 1968. This model was never officially sold in Sweden, we got the frame and engine blocks from the US. Once we had that, we set about rebuilding it from scratch. I have to say that it turned out well. To see the restoration of this and other bikes, go to www.yamaparts.com
1969 Yamaha AS2C Original Condition: First Start and Test Drive
Переглядів 3,2 тис.12 років тому
This is our latest bike: it's a completely original unrestored 1969 AS2C, it even has the original tires from 1969. It has been kept in a climate controlled environment at an american Yamaha dealer since it was new. It only has only been driven for 640 miles (1029 km). The only thing we've done is clean the carburetors, you need to do this otherwise it won't run very well, charged the battery a...

Переглядів 189 тис.12 років тому
We started the restoration of this 1972 Yamaha AS3 quite a while ago, then other projects came between. Now we've finished it. This is the first time we start and test drive it. Next up we'll drive it to the museum. www.yamaparts.com
Yamaha YCS1 1968, Original Condition: First Start and Test Drive
Переглядів 67 тис.12 років тому
We got our hands on one of only two YCS1's that were imported to Sweden when they were new. They came here through the grey market and were never officially sold in Sweden. This particular one is in great shape, it has only had one previous owner who bought it new in 1968. It runs and looks great! The previous owner actually had the bike inspected just prior to selling it to us so it is complet...
Yamaha AS2J 1971 Original condition, test drive
Переглядів 12 тис.12 років тому
We got our hands on this AS2J a short while ago, it has only ever been driven for 24km before it was put into storage. It is in completely original condition, we've only cleaned it up and put new oil and petrol in it. It's really amazing that bikes like this one can exist out there, just goes to show that you never know what might pop up when people clean their garage. This is the very first ti...

Yamaha AS3: First Start! Yamaparts.com
Переглядів 72 тис.13 років тому
This is our newest AS3's first start! Before we started it we spent a lot of time getting everything set up, checking all the mechanical parts and the electrical system. This start was done using an external battery and temporary fuel tank to keep everything accessible while we worked on it. This is the best running of all our restorations. You can go to www.yamaparts.com/category/project/yamah...
My first bike too, I was only 14, great memories.
This is just great, I love listening to that engine
❤ damn I love that 💕
Sounds gorgeous special Yamaha twin 2 stroke deep note.❤❤
My dad bought this same bike in 1973 when I was 14 year sold. We took may afternoon rides around the neighborhood and country roads. When I was 16 he taught me how to ride it and I got my MC permit. Great little bike to run around town in southern Ohio. When I was 17 I had a twilight accident riding home after I realized that head lamp bulb burned out and did not have a spare in the storage area of the headlamp. Got t-boned following a car down the road from a car coming out of a restaurant parking lot. Crushed the right exhaust pipe, bent the rear shock and broke the cover plate and the gearshift side of the engine. I went up and over the handlebars and slid over 4 lines of traffic. Luckily no rear traffic or on coming cars. I wanted to replace the parts and move forward but my mom applied so much pressure on my dad to sell it that one day after school it was gone. Later in life my dad told me he had to sleep on the couch until the motorcycle was sold! 😕 Again a great bike and your video brought back some fond memories. Beautiful restoration!
Never forget that gold colour typical Honda
Yamaha sold that great little bike for one year in North America [1972] and called it the LS 100 . My first street bike , the first of many RD & RZ two strokers.
I've got one just like it but its in parts. For sale! If anyone needs smith hit me up!

Meu amigo Pedro Ferrari tinha uma vermelha. Saudades daquele tempo.

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Sounds mint ❤
Brings back some awesome memories worked on a shrimp boat all summer in 1968 and bought me one loved that bike
The guy must weigh 180 Pounds. The Twin Jet was 8 horse power. No wonder it stalled. My bike was a 66 twin jet 100. I weighed 130 pounds soaking wet. They were fun.
Magnifique restauration , j'ai eu exactement la même , thé blue one , my first bike awesome ❤
Bravo
Sounds very nice
Very nice job. Sounds very sweet

I bought a ‘68 Suzuki T200(still have it) from my cousin in late 1971, a couple years later a friend bought one of these Yamaha 180(1968) bikes from a school mate. It was red also and was in showroom condition which was amazing because most motorcycles in our farming community were not preserved very well. They were” rode hard and put away wet”. The guy sold the Yamaha and the owner wiped it out on the grille of an oncoming car. I don’t think he lived, the bike exploded and burned and about the only part that wasn’t burned was the tail light.
My cousin had a YAS1 but it had flatter narrower handlebars. A great sounding bike, nippy too. Back in the 70's, a young apprentice where I started work, bought one of these second-hand and it had 60,000 original miles on the clock. I couldn't believe it at the time, I was shocked, but it ran great. Fabulous bikes.
Mine had the handlebars as you describe. Mine was red, "H"reg. very quick for a 125cc.
It looked great with straight bars
Just Lovit ❤❤❤ But mabee not Justin 🙈from Canhadda.....
A very nice little AS3 loved it back in 1971 when it came out and still do today, Great job.
so fun I use to have one when I was 16 for a long time ago 🙂 and I remember it whit love
Essa Yamaha é 4 tempos?
I bought mine in 1981 and took my drivers license on it at the age of sixteen. I had it until two years ago when i sold to Norway. Me and two friends went on holliday to Gotland the same year i bought the bike, it was raining most of that week. Later in life i owned two different Harley Davidson and travelled North England and Scotland. So my first miserable experience didn´t deter me from riding bikes.
Looks identical to the Bridgestone GTR 350 motorcycle
do you still have it ? nice bike
Hi, yes it is nice. Runs like a clockwork. I still have it.
My first bike was a 1965 AS1 .. aka Yamaha 'Twin Jet 100'. I was 16 and only weighed 130 pounds. This bike was unique in that it was only 100 cc's, yet 'two' cylinders, and 'two' carburetors. Not much on the highway, but a little bat out of h-ll in the city. Basically a little jewel with everything the big two cylinder, two stroke, two carb bikes had .. but in a smaller package. Nothing in the 100 cc class could catch it. Loved that little bike!
The 100 was the YL-1
That’s a beautiful bike, a superb job and a very professional finish. I’m currently restoring an AS3 and I’ve a question about the spoke nuts. Are they nickel/chrome plated steel/brass or zinc plated steel with a gold phosphate tint.
Hi Peter, they are zinkplated silver on the spokes, and the nuts goldplated
magnifique restauration, j'avais exactement la même👏
I am crazy about this bike 🏍
Back then in the sixties, this is the most Southtowns after bike. Beautifully restored.
Formidable restauration, j’ai eu exactement la même à mes 16 ans 👍
Gorgeous bike...wonder if they would restore my 1973 Honda CB750 four??
This machine brings back so many good memories, I had one of these machines in the early 70's, It always ran well and was surprisingly quick compared to slightly more modern machinery, the noise from those exhausts is awesome.
Great job! My first bike in 1971 was a Yamaha ’YL-1’ . Same color 1966 100cc
Any modern day bikes like this?
wonderfull machine, When I was 16 y.o I got a 125 RD X it’s the family 😢
Never seen one before here in the UK, great restoration 👍
Always loved the Yamaha twins , great restoration, just bought one unrestored picking it up.next week . We used to buy these very cheap and turn them into field bikes 40yrs ago !! The second bike I ever rode on sitting on the tank holding the handle bars my brothers bike , the first was the 100 twin . Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations !!! 👏👏👏👏👏🏁🏆🍾🇺🇸🇺🇾
Looks brand new!
